Job Description

Our Client is seeking an ERP / Financial Systems Manager, who will lead the evaluation, implementation, optimization, and ongoing management of our financial systems and integrated business applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing the full systems development lifecycle, from requirements assessment to successful deployment, with a strong focus on financial processes, automation, and risk management. This role requires a strategic database minded thinker who can collaborate with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external vendors to drive system enhancements, improve operational efficiency, and ensure data integrity and compliance.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of ERP and financial systems, including Pledge-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and budget management processes
  • Manage system integrations across platforms such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Salesforce, Bill.com, HR systems, banking interfaces, payment gateways and other enterprise applications
  • Develop and maintain system roadmaps, data workflows, and approval processes in collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Oversee data quality, validation, and integration between internal and external systems, ensuring accuracy and reliability
  • Provide technical expertise and support to Accounting, FP&A, and other teams to enhance areas such as budgeting, audit preparation, regulatory reporting, and month-end close
  • Collaborate with other members of IT team and operational stakeholders on system integrations between financial platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) and other organizational systems such as fundraising CRMs, HRIS, and donor management software
  • Identify opportunities for process automation, cost reduction, and risk mitigation, and lead initiatives to implement improvements
  • Manage relationships with consultants, vendors, and implementation partners, including project oversight
  • Develop and deliver training strategies and documentation to ensure effective system adoption and user proficiency
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements through system controls, documentation, and audit support
  • Troubleshoot system issues, test new deployments, and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in financial systems management, ERP implementation, and business process optimization
  • Proven experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday Adaptive Planning, SAP Concur, and/or other financial, HR, and procurement systems
  • Strong database technical skills in SQL, Oracle (or other comparable relational database suite), database management, reporting tools (Power BI, Visual Studio Code, SF Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.), and system integration experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle, including budgeting, planning, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
  • Experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit coordination
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in bank integration, payment automation, and secure file transmission (SFTP, ACH)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, C#, Java, JavaScript) and web technologies
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana
