Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a ERP COE SAP HANA Platform / Basis Expert (f/m) to join our Digital CoE for ERP Team based in Toulouse, France. Joining the ERP COE Platforms means becoming a key player in a strategic partnership dedicated to strengthening platform operations and accelerating our global business transformation. As a transversal Product Service Line (PSL) within the Digital Enterprise (DE) Center of Excellence for ERP our mission is to provide robust operational foundations while driving innovation across the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • SAP HANA Platform Management : Design, implement, and maintain complex SAP HANA landscapes, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
  • SAP Basis Administration : Perform comprehensive SAP Basis administration tasks across various SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, etc.), including system monitoring, user management, transport management, and troubleshooting
  • Performance Optimization : Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within SAP HANA and associated SAP applications. Implement and optimize database parameters, SQL queries, and application configurations for maximum efficiency
  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery : Design, implement, and test high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for SAP HANA and other critical SAP systems
  • Security & Compliance : Ensure the security and integrity of SAP HANA and SAP Basis environments, implementing security best practices, managing authorizations, and adhering to compliance standards
  • System Upgrades & Migrations : Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, migrations (e.g., Suite on HANA, S/4HANA), and data archiving strategies
  • Troubleshooting & Support : Provide expert-level support for complex incidents and problems related to SAP HANA, SAP Basis and underlying infrastructure. Collaborate with other IT teams and external vendors as needed
  • Automation & Scripting : Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing : Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operational procedures and knowledge base articles. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members
  • Innovation & Strategy : Stay abreast of the latest SAP HANA and Basis technologies, trends and best practices. Contribute to the strategic roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives for the SAP landscape

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator with a strong focus on SAP HANA
  • Proven experience with large-scale, complex SAP HANA environments in a production setting
  • Demonstrable experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, migrations and patching
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and SAP on cloud deployments is a significant plus
  • Technical Skills : Expertise in SAP HANA database administration, including architecture, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and replication
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis components (NetWeaver, ABAP, Java stack) and administration tools
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows Server) and underlying infrastructure (storage, networking, virtualization)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, PowerShell) for automation
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SAP Solution Manager, commercial monitoring solutions)
  • Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices
  • Certifications (Preferred) : SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 2.0, SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP S/4HANA System Administration
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), French is a plus
  • This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and SAP on cloud deployments is a significant plus
