As a Emergency Room Charge Nurse you will be a central figure in patient care, seamlessly navigating the healthcare journey to achieve optimal outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
Job Responsibility:
Strategically assess, plan, and facilitate comprehensive care across the continuum
Advocate for patients while collaborating with physicians, nursing, departments, insurers, and post-acute providers to ensure timely, high-quality transitions
Facilitate day-to-day operations of the Unit
Collaborate with staff, Nurse Managers, team leaders, supervisors, and physicians to ensure quality patient care is being provided with optimum patient outcomes
Function as a clinical and leadership mentor and coach to new and existing staff
Assist with preparation and oversight of unit schedules
Work with department management to balance schedules
Oversee and adapt the daily staffing plan to meet the department’s needs
Establish patient assignments for a team of employees
Participate in the peer interviewing process in the selection of unit staff
Provide input and feedback to the nurse manager/department leadership in regards to team performance
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
BLS required before hire
Nice to have:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Admission to a BSN program within one year or obtainment of a Bachelor degree within 2 years of assuming position is strongly encouraged
Participation in the Nursing Career Advancement Program is preferred
