Job Description

As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for ER guidance and support; helping leaders navigate people matters with confidence, consistency and fairness. Reporting into ER Manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Receiving calls via a line manager phone service and providing appropriate and accurate advice
  • Answering detailed questions about disciplinary, grievance, absence management, parental leave or any other ER related topic
  • Being able to navigate systems, provide accurate advice and document information simultaneously
  • Handling all matters confidentially
  • Being part of a small and cohesive team
  • Contributing to additional department tasks and responsibilities as and when required

Requirements

  • Experience in handling a broad range of ER cases, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence with coaching and influencing managers at all levels
  • To be able to communicate complex issues clearly and sensitively
  • Be highly organised and detail-focused
  • Knowledgeable about current UK employment law and ER best practice
  • Be a confident computer user with a solid knowledge of Microsoft applications
