Job Description:

The Equity Specialist is a strategic professional recognized as a technical authority who works within the integrated client team to manage cash equities, derivatives, and related products while ensuring risk management and client service excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Cover direct client activity in cash equity, listed derivatives and light OTC exotic equity products
  • deliver execution strategy recommendations to active Private Bank trading clients and internal Marketing teams
  • actively market and develop a dedicated client base of between 20-30 long-term accounts
  • identify client needs and objectives within overall investment objectives and match to service delivery capabilities
  • develop and update market intelligence to introduce single stock ideas
  • maintain rigorous risk management approach with clients on their exposures
  • increase sales across the product set from cash equities and listed derivatives to OTC derivatives
  • communicate, deliver, and close on client investment proposals and new account pitches
  • ensure conformity with global Firm standards of client service, regulatory, compliance, and operating model
  • increase connectivity and engagement between Markets and Wealth clients and staff
  • actively participate in daily morning meetings and marketing team sales calls
  • assist with the roll-out and development of the IT projects.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience
  • proven sales and trading experience in financial services and structured products, including equity derivatives and light exotic products
  • exposure to High Net Worth Private Bank clients and Family Offices would be beneficial
  • good interpersonal and communication skills essential
  • ability to develop strong working relationships across functional and geographical lines
  • strong IT skills essential
  • ability to work to tight deadlines
  • regulated role with applicable/mandatory licenses and/or qualifications
  • language proficiencies in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Nice to have:

  • exposure to High Net Worth Private Bank clients and Family Offices
  • ability to develop strong working relationships across functional and geographical lines.
