Job Description:

The successful candidate will join the Citi Research’s Global Research Center in Mumbai and will work directly with Citi’s Retail, Internet and Brands Analyst. The role will focus on the coverage of companies in the Sporting Goods, General Retail, Ecommerce, Food Retail, Online Food Delivery and Online Gaming. The work will involve commercial and financial analysis of company performance, maintaining industry databases and financial modelling, and valuations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Creation and maintenance of excel models for companies under coverage
  • Creation and maintenance of excel models for industry sub-sectors
  • Tracking of sector news and analysis of periodic statistical data
  • Constant collaboration / information exchange with fellow associates
  • Background analysis as a part of active research on a company / theme
  • Maintenance of research products such as Dailies, preview notes and results notes
  • Completion of ad hoc client requests, often to deadlines
  • Assistance in initiation of coverage on new stocks
  • Support in developing new products

Requirements:

  • Prior equity research experience of 3-5 years
  • Relevant work-experience in the Retail and Consumer Internet sector
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including full company modelling experience
  • Good data management and analysis skills and a high degree of comfort with Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with overseas colleagues
  • Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment
  • Highly detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
  • Pragmatic "self-starter" who can work both independently and as part of a team
