Join Barclays as an Equity Research Metals and Mining, Analyst, where you’ll have the chance to collaborate with senior analysts to produce comprehensive research reports and presentations while monitoring market trends, economic indicators, and company news to update and refine investment solutions. You will also engage with institutional clients to communicate the research findings and provide strategic recommendations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analysis of market, sector, corporate and/or economic data to help develop investment theses for your coverage universe to produce best in class Research
  • Presentation of Research views to Barclays Clients
  • Engagement with Markets, Client Strategy and other stakeholders, to raise awareness of your Research both to Clients and internally
  • Provision of insights and Research views to internal Clients to help them navigate financial markets and risks
  • Collaboration with the Supervisory Analyst, Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure Research is produced and delivered to Clients and internal stakeholders in a compliant manner

Requirements:

  • Ability to conduct detailed analysis and valuation of companies
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and interpreting highly detailed financial statements
  • Deep understanding of the specific industry or sector being covered
  • Solid written and verbal communication
  • The ability to effectively convey research investment recommendations to clients

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with financial software and databases such as Bloomberg, and advanced Excel
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior analysts
  • FINRA licensing: SIE, S63, S86, S87
  • CFA Level
