Under general supervision of a Senior Equity Analyst, analyze and interpret equity-related data, conduct research and provide opinion on issues which may impact an investment decision. Conduct research studies of existing and potential investments in the Healthcare sector and develop investment theses. Analysis may focus on an individual security, data, interviews with industry experts, literature reviews, and critically evaluating data. Identify and investigate pertinent factors influencing investment decisions. Quantify and interpret potential risks and rewards. Recommend acquiring, holding, or disposing of investments. Monitor designated investments to identify trends and conditions. The ideal candidate is client-service oriented, detail-oriented, and one who thrives in a team-driven and fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Develop expertise on the Healthcare industry and individual healthcare companies to assess the impact of data readouts and other impactful news
Prepare and coordinate the completion of various data and analytics reports, including financial models for revenue and income forecasts, cash flow analysis, balance sheet, and quarterly projections
Assemble and analyze data to help inform investment ideas/ views on market outlook
Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on an investment recommendation
Build effective working relationships within the internal client organization, delivering high-quality professional services with guidance from senior colleagues
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching
Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, conferences, and reading specialist media
Requirements:
Bachelor’s: Finance (Required)
General Experience - 13 months to 3 years
Obtain the Series SIE and 86/87 licenses within one year from start date
Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) - Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)
Sufficient understanding of accounting and financial statement analysis
