About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Equity Research Associate for the IT Hardware & Semiconductors sector in Corporate & Investment Banking as part of Markets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Demonstrate strong subject matter expertise within the IT Hardware & Semiconductors sector, with a solid understanding of key companies and industry dynamics
  • Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
  • Create and update financial models and databases
  • Author, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes
  • Attend company and industry events
  • cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
  • Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents
  • Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Requirements:

2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have:

  • A BS/BA or higher
  • CFA charterholder or actively pursuing the CFA designation
  • Direct experience in the IT Hardware & Semiconductors or prior equity research coverage of this industry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
  • Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
