Job Description:

The Associate will conduct fundamental equity research, build and maintain financial forecasts, and communicate findings to institutional investor clients while collaborating with peers across departments. They will demonstrate subject matter expertise, create financial models, author research content, and attend industry events.

Job Responsibility:

Conducting the fundamental equity research process
Building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations
Communicating research findings to internal stakeholders and institutional investor client base
Building strong relationships with Equity Research colleagues, Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others
Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
Create and update financial models and databases
Author differentiated research content
Attend company and industry events
Cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
Communicate research conclusions to constituents
Collaborate with research peers to support generation of cross-sector research content

Requirements:

2+ years of Securities Research experience
BS/BA or higher
Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Industrials and Materials
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Strong writing skills and attention to detail
Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills

Nice to have:

Direct experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Industrials and Materials
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
