Job Description:

Citi presents a compelling opportunity for an ambitious and experienced mid-level trader to join our leading Delta One Equity Forward Trading desk. This is a chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic and collaborative environment, leveraging Citi's extensive franchise and distribution network. You will play a key role in pricing and trading a diverse range of equity forward products, contributing directly to the desk's revenue growth and further solidifying Citi's position in the market. This role offers exceptional growth potential, providing the opportunity to manage your own book and P&L. You will gain exposure to sophisticated trading strategies, cutting-edge technology, and a network of industry experts.

Job Responsibility:

  • Price and execute equity forward trades and other delta one instruments, ensuring optimal execution and minimizing market impact while focusing on achieving a delta of one to replicate the performance of underlying equity indices or baskets
  • manage the portfolio's delta risk using dynamic hedging strategies with underlying index futures, ETFs, or single stock components, continuously monitoring and adjusting hedges to maintain a delta-neutral position
  • manage financing costs for long and short positions and accurately incorporate dividend payments from underlying index constituents into pricing and hedging strategies
  • handle complex corporate actions impacting underlying indices or baskets, ensuring proper adjustments to forward contracts and hedging positions
  • collaborate with sales and structuring teams to understand client needs and tailor delta one solutions for their hedging or investment objectives
  • implement and monitor risk management strategies, including gamma and vega management, and conduct stress tests to assess portfolio resilience
  • analyze market conditions, news flow, and macroeconomic factors to identify trading opportunities and inform pricing decisions
  • contribute to developing and enhancing trading systems and quantitative models for pricing, hedging, and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate a history of successful trading book management or close collaboration with a trading team (this is not an entry-level position)
  • possess a deep understanding of equity derivatives, particularly forwards and swaps, focusing on delta one strategies
  • have strong analytical and quantitative abilities to price complex instruments, manage risk, and develop trading strategies
  • exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • maintain a strong understanding of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing procedures
  • proficiency in Python, VBA, Bloomberg, and Excel is highly desirable.
