Job Description

The need for the Equipment Strategy Lead role arises from the significant growth and complexity in Meta's data center building engineering, design, and construction. Over the past 1.5 years, the number of equipment submittals and SKUs has quadrupled, with over 1,000 SKUs and more than 300 in development. This expansion is driven by the increasing importance of owner furnished equipment (OFE) and is exacerbated by increasing quantity of manufactured owner furnished equipment (MOFE) as Meta's data center program grows and speed of deployment is critical. The role is essential to manage the Run-the-Business across the lifecycle of the DC equipment ecosystem ensuring alignment across teams, improving process efficiency, and managing the increased complexity and volume of equipment management in Meta's data center program.

Job Responsibility

  • The Equipment Strategy Lead - Electrical is responsible for the OFE Supplier Evaluation Ecosystem
  • Technical Roadmap: Combine inputs from ENG, Hardware, and external industry sources to establish ENG tech cooling roadmap
  • Identify/engage potential vendors
  • communicate technical requirements and business value drivers to align vendors to Meta’s business drivers
  • Establish & maintain register of vendor engagement
  • Equipment Strategy: Demand: Accountable for Electrical OFE Planning BOM for all new/existing build DC Products Types (F, G, RDS, etc.)
  • Supply:Partner with CSM/GSM to identify supply targets, Partner with GSM to qualify additional manufacturing locations (new & existing supplier)
  • Represent ENG in supplier allocation recommendations at SSD
  • Partner with Quality Term for services buy-out
  • establish repeatable process of service procurement
  • Establish criteria/testing requirements for FoK Performance Testing & FWT
  • Establish storage/buffering strategies on LLE equipment
  • OFE & integrator furnished equipment: Establish partnerships with strategic vendors to enable NetZero value design opportunities
  • New Supplier Evaluation & Qualification
  • Awarded Scope Management/Risk Identification
  • Managing tooling to measure KPI for OFE vendor submittal performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain operations, business transformation, and program management
  • Automation and Tooling: End-to-end Supply Chain solutions experience, across technology stacks (Custom, and/or off-the-shelf) and software suites (e.g. Oracle, o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, Agile, etc.)
  • Program Management Skills: Experience in defining, managing, implementing and deploying supply chain solutions (process/business models, tooling, management of change) across multiple functions (Planning, Inventory, Order Management and Fulfillment, Supplier Collaboration, Master Data Management) and across high-tech industries
  • Technical Expertise: Technical background to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Proven experience in building business cases and metrics for Programs, based on data analytics and fact-based rationale
