The Equipment Operator/Truck Driver receives, stores and transports USAF Munitions and inspects all assigned Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) for serviceability standards to include documentation and compliance of all Company, USAF and Host Nation Operating requirement. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
Job Responsibility:
Consistently observes and enforces all USAF and host nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards during all explosives and non-explosives operations in assigned sites and temporary duty locations
In the event of an emergency, takes necessary control and timely response actions
Conducts all munitions work according to established quality processes, identifying potential problems and recommending solutions
Performs munitions storage actions according to the stringent explosives' standards
Prepares and configures munitions shipments for air, sea and surface transportation
Uploads/downloads trucks with incoming and outgoing munitions shipments and transports them to/from flightline holding areas, along with transporting munitions to support daily operations within the department
Assists in inspecting munitions in accordance with 11A-1-10 and applicable technical orders
Assists in inspecting munitions brass, residue and containers in accordance with 11A-1-60
Inspects, operates and performs preventative maintenance on MMHE such as tractors, trailers, container handles, forklifts and all other equipment as directed by Munitions Supervision
Inspects and operates metal strapping equipment, stencil machines, heat sealers, pneumatic paint guns, air compressors and power tools
Cleans vehicles, equipment and facilities
Prepares and delivers general and explosives safety briefings pertaining to all MMHE
Performs entry-controller duties as required
Works necessary hours, to include stand-by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies
Escort and inspect serviceability of Sub-Contractor Vehicles and Equipment in support of Munitions Movements
Performs other duties as assigned
Works in maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods
Requirements:
Must have basic knowledge of or be able to learn the USAF Supply and Tech Order systems
Must have basic knowledge in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Excel and Word programs
Must possess extensive knowledge of properly securing flatbed trailer loads and material handling equipment operations
Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license to include Tractor, Trailer, Forklift and Container Handlers of all types
Must possess a current USDOT Class A commercial driver's license or Host Nation equivalent
CDL endorsement may be required as Company, USAF and Host Nation requirements change
High School diploma or equivalent required
Must have four years' experience in Heavy Equipment Operations
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance
Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed
Physically capable of performing all required duties
capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs. and performing extensive work handling/lifting equipment
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Must have normal color perception and depth of vision
