Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Equipment Operator – Military Systems located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Astrion has worked extensively with the Missile Sensor Test Division where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high-quality products tailored to the needs of its clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Willing to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Welding and/or mechanical skills will be utilized daily
  • This individual must be able to read, understand and adhere to all applicable SOP's and TSRA's
  • Some travel may be required

Requirements:

  • Must have 7 years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization
  • or 3 years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and 4 years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area
  • At least 6 years of the 7 years’ experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware
  • Will need to have experience operating military equipment
  • Technician will operate machinery to include - Class VII and below forklifts, drive tanks, operate earth moving equipment, hold or obtain Class A CDL w/hazmat endorsement
  • Familiar with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
  • New hire will be capable of operating heavy equipment
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Self-motivated and independent thinker with out-of-the-box ideas
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Must have high school diploma or GED
