Job Description

In the role of ‘engineer – equipment model management’, you’d be responsible for the timely quality check and integration of supplier delivered and Airbus created 3D equipment models, supporting the design office and installation office on their tasks and the creation of 3D equipment models on request.

Job Responsibility

  • CAD quality validation & integration
  • Modeling of Airbus Specification models
  • L3 resolver group for model management BOS
  • Support to Design office, Installation teams & Suppliers based on request

Requirements

  • Validate the CAD quality of 3D equipment models using CATIA and Q-checker
  • Integrate the 3D models in to respective tools and environments (3DQM, 3DCOM, PDMLinkCC etc)
  • Provide feedback to the design office and the suppliers in case CAD quality issues identified
  • Modeling of Airbus specification models, on behalf of the design offices
  • Resolve any incidents raised with respect to model management
  • Follow-ups to make sure the equipment flow in the TDM & PLM tools are done correctly
  • Assist the design office to check the geometry and dimensions of the equipment design
  • Assist the installation designer to check and verify the interfaces of the design
  • Support suppliers on any issues with CAD quality or on-boarding
  • Re-use of 3D equipment models between programs
  • Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity
