Job Description

As a Coates Trades Assistant (Internally known as Equipment Maintenance Controllers) at Parkes Branch, you will be responsible for cleaning and inspection tasks of equipment including some minor repairs and adjustments and the use of test instruments, supporting role to the workshop mechanics/electricians, checking and controlling equipment (inbound and outbound) as it comes in and out of the yard inclusive of the spotting function, and assisting in keeping workshop, yard and service area clean, tidy and safe.

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Current drivers license is essential
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, time management and organisational skills
  • Be physically fit and knowledgeable about safety standards
  • Mechanical equipment knowledge is desirable
  • Familiarisation with Take 5’s and JSEA’s

Nice to have

  • Mechanical equipment knowledge is desirable
  • Forklift high risk license will be highly regarded

  • Ensure proper and timely completion of related documentation
  • Note in Maximo or other downtime tracking method any problems, breakdowns or alarms related to all equipment
