Job Description

As an Equipment & Automation Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and assist nightshift personnel ensuring optimal task prioritization, workflow efficiency, to minimize equipment downtime on all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Automation Equipment, and MHE Batteries.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and monitor the daily workflow, prioritizing work orders and assigning tasks to technicians to ensure timely completion
  • Oversee critical work issues and emergency repairs, implementing efficient troubleshooting and corrective actions to minimize machine downtime
  • Assists with monitoring and auditing the preventive maintenance program for all material handling, battery, and automated equipment
  • Assist and guide technicians through complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, often interpreting schematics
  • Create and manage night shift schedules to ensure optimal coverage
  • Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections and leading by example
  • Organize and lead safety training sessions and ensure all staff are properly trained on new equipment and safety protocols
  • Supervise, motivate, and mentor the nightshift equipment, battery, and automation maintenance teams fostering a positive work environment and strong team cohesion
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills
  • Good physical condition, sufficient hearing and vision to perform duties safely
  • Excellent working knowledge of 120V, 480V 3 Phase
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Nice to have

  • Two years maintenance technician experience or associate degree in relevant field
  • Skills in Excel, Word, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Ability to independently make decisions and resolve complex problems
  • Past leadership experience
