As a Critical Environment EPMS (Electrical Power Management System) Technician in Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, you will maintain the critical infrastructure that keeps our Datacenters up and running. The EPMS Engineer is responsible for maintenance of electrical power monitoring systems on Dublin Campus data centres. This role involves troubleshooting, project management, and ensuring the continuous operation of electrical systems to support data centre infrastructure. Internally you will be called a Data Center Critical Environment Technician (CET).
Job Responsibility:
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for EPMS-related issues
Conduct regular maintenance and review results to ensure system reliability
Provide technical support
Manage vendor relationships
Coordinate with stakeholders and report project status regularly
Train technicians and stakeholders on EPMS operations
Assist in the commissioning and validation of EPMS systems
Review and interpret engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures
Ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards

Requirements:
Experience with industrial controls in critical environments (e.g., data centres, pharmaceuticals)
Experience with BAS (Building Automation Systems) and EPMS
Proficiency in industrial communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS, BACnet)
Strong project management and vendor management skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
This role requires you to be on-site. Your own form of transport is advised
Nice to have:
Experience in designing and configuring HVAC controls or SCADA systems
Electrical trade
Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate complex situations
