Job Description:

SRG are partnered with a leading pharmaceutical company who are searching for an Epidemiologist to support the business on a 12 month contract. You will play a key role in advancing drug development and patient safety through cutting-edge epidemiological research.

Job Responsibility:

  • Enhance disease understanding for drug development, including incidence, prevalence, risk factors, and treatment patterns
  • Support clinical trial design: target population identification, protocol development, and patient recruitment strategies
  • Contribute to medication safety evaluation through evidence synthesis and meta-analyses
  • Drive post-marketing surveillance activities, including risk mitigation and epidemiology studies for signal detection
  • Critically appraise existing evidence and generate new insights via research plans and healthcare database analysis

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in epidemiology within pharma, academia, or government settings
  • Proven expertise in applying epidemiologic methods to medicine development (safety, effectiveness, disease natural history)
  • Strong track record in leading pharmaco-epidemiologic research and working with real-world data (EMR or claims)
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting scientific evidence to peers and at conferences
  • PhD in Epidemiology or related discipline (e.g., health services research, public health, statistics)
