Carex is partnering with a healthtech managed services provider partner to identify an experienced Epic Senior Analyst Patient Access with required Epic Cadence and Prelude certifications to join a rapidly growing team supporting transformative healthcare technology initiatives. This remote role will serve as a senior-level resource for Patient Access applications, providing technical leadership, workflow optimization, and mentorship across complex Epic environments. The Epic Senior Analyst Patient Access functions under the direction of the Application Manager and serves as a senior mentor and technical expert supporting multiple Epic applications. This role combines deep application expertise, project leadership, and cross-functional partnership to improve workflows, drive initiatives, and support operational excellence. While this position does not directly manage staff, it plays a key leadership role in guiding team members and advancing strategic priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as a lead analyst and subject matter expert for at least two or more Epic applications, with a focus on Patient Access
Provide advanced system support including configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, data manipulation, and reporting
Maintain current knowledge of Epic upgrades, new version training, and certification requirements
Lead workflow improvement efforts and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and user satisfaction
Support Community Connect initiatives, implementations, and optimization projects
Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and milestones to leadership stakeholders
Partner with operational and clinical teams to gather requirements and translate needs into system solutions
Lead and support testing, validation, training, and go-live readiness activities
Mentor team members and serve as a technical resource across the broader applications team
Assist leadership with project planning, prioritization, and execution of strategic initiatives
Requirements:
5+ years of Epic systems analyst experience, including cross-functional project leadership
Deep technical knowledge of Epic functionality supporting operational and clinical workflows
Epic Prelude and Cadence certifications required
Proven experience leading projects, managing priorities, and driving successful outcomes
Strong understanding of workflow design, optimization, and stakeholder engagement
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
Demonstrated accountability, ownership mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement
PMP certification preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to travel up to 20%, including go-live support as needed
