The Epic Infrastructure Automation Engineer will focus on automating the infrastructure for the Epic EHR system, ensuring it is robust and scalable.
Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and maintain scripts and tools to automate the provisioning and configuration of servers and infrastructure that support the Epic ecosystem
Build and manage virtual machines using platforms like VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or cloud-based virtualization technologies
Implement and maintain infrastructure and application-level monitoring tools to monitor Epic system performance, VM health, and infrastructure uptime
Ensure all Epic infrastructure components are redundant, resilient, and compliant with HA/DR requirements
Work closely with Epic TS (Technical Services), clinical app teams, networking, security, and storage teams to implement infrastructure that aligns with Epic's specifications
Coordinating updates, certifications, patching, and ensuring system compatibility
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5-8 years of experience in relevant technologies
Experience with Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform
Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or cloud-based virtualization technologies (e.g., Azure/AWS)
