Epic Application System Analyst checks in on the pulse of our systems overnight, alerts, performance dashboards, and monitoring reports get an early review to ensure that every application supporting Baptist Health's care continuum is operating at peak performance. From there, the Systems Analysts review the team's chat to align on daily priorities, triage support tickets, and prepare for upcoming deployments or patches. Whether it's optimizing a third-party application, turning performance, or coordinating a seamless system upgrade, every task shares a common goal: keep technology reliable so caregivers can stay focused on patients. The Systems Analyst captures key insights from the day: documenting solutions, closing tickets, and preparing recommendations for future improvements. The close of the day is about readiness - ensuring that tomorrow's operations run even smoother than today's. The day brings cross-functional collaboration with IT, Operations, and Clinical Informatics partners. The conversation might center on expanding system capacity, streamlining user workflows, or integrating new solutions into the enterprise ecosystem. As a trusted advisor, the Systems Analyst also partners with vendors and specialists to explore innovations that can enhance care delivery and strengthen Baptist's digital foundation. The day often shifts to deeper project work - reviewing automation workflows, testing upgrades in a sandbox environment, or updating lifecycle documentation to ensure applications remain compliant, secure, and efficient. The work is dynamic, forward-focused, and agile to meet the ongoing demands.
Job Responsibility:
Provide technical assistance in the development, implementation, and support of highly complex, enterprise wide, cross functional applications, integrated systems and technology projects
Troubleshoot multifaceted technology issues spanning software, hardware, interfaces, databases, and system security
Work on multiple projects and engage in enterprise-wide projects as a team member
Be involved in the installation and development of hospital information systems
Perform system upgrades and provide system maintenance when required
Participate in developing policies and creating training tools for hospital information systems uses
Provide 24/7 support for information systems within accountability and/or enterprise-wide applications
Requirements:
1-3 years Information Technology Experience
Strong proficiency in Excel and data analytics
Hands-on user interface experience with software systems
Prior experience collaborating with third-party vendors
Functional knowledge of interface communications
Experience in lifecycle management
Epic experience with one or more of the following modules: ClinDoc, OpTime, Rehab, Stork, Anesthesia
SQL knowledge
Strong understanding of scheduled maintenance processes
Demonstrates strong technical aptitude
EPIC Certification in designated application area(s) required
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent Experience
