The EPIC Analyst is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of EPIC modules to streamline workflows and enhance the overall efficiency of the EHR system. You will collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to gather requirements, identify solutions, and ensure EPIC system capabilities align with organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze, design, and configure EPIC modules to meet organizational needs
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and clinical requirements, ensuring EPIC solutions align with workflows
Develop and maintain EPIC build documentation, including configurations, workflows, and customizations
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EPIC modules and integrated systems
Provide end-user support and training to ensure effective utilization of EPIC tools
Conduct testing of EPIC updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure seamless integration
Participate in change management processes to support system improvements and updates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EPIC with other healthcare IT systems
Monitor and evaluate system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
Stay updated on EPIC certifications, new features, and best practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
EPIC certification in one or more modules (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient, Resolute, Cadence, Willow)
2+ years of experience as an EPIC Analyst or similar role
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical processes
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving within the EPIC environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Experience in multiple EPIC modules or integrated applications
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and meaningful use
Experience with SQL for reporting and data analysis
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, JIRA)
Previous experience in a healthcare provider or health IT consulting environment
