Job Description:

Manages patient care and staff in the Electrophysiology Lab. Promotes a cooperative and safe working environment. Ensures quality patient outcomes and professional development of staff. Coordinates certifications and quality controls. Works under the general hospital standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensures staff is achieving department work objectives for organized patient care
  • Coordinates TJC disease specific certifications
  • Coordinates all departmental POCT competency and quality controls as directed by the POCT coordinator for the hospital
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient procedures are provided in accordance with Age-Specific Guidelines for the specific age groups served
  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN and/or graduation from an Allied Health Sciences Program
  • Required three years' experience in a Cardiac Invasive Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Current registration, license, and/or certification in applicable state as a Registered Nurse and/or Registration / Certification by Allied Health Sciences program
  • Current Certification in BLS and ACLS
  • Organization, planning and delegation skills
