Job Description

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Elko, NV is looking to hire an organized full-time Environmental Technician to support a wide variety of environmental projects. The position earns a competitive salary, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Job Responsibility

  • Support a wide variety of environmental projects
  • Under supervision of a Project Manager, provide support on a wide range of environmental and mine site projects
  • Collection of surface and groundwater samples
  • Remediation system operation and maintenance
  • Water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring
  • Water resources activities
  • Support the Elko, NV office with field services
  • Ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed
  • Support office activities as needed to drive project execution
  • Interact regularly with contractors, owner representatives, and clientele
  • Prepare field sheets, project reports and complete routine administrative tasks
  • Conduct field activities such as seeps and spring monitoring, well sampling, and soil collection
  • Summarize collected field data in reports and present to Project Managers

Requirements

  • One year experience working in water/wastewater or environmental field is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Self-starter, quick learner and effective communicator
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work consecutive long days in the field under varying adverse weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, and sometimes wet)
