As an intern, you will collaborate with our energy manager and various teams to drive sustainability initiatives and make a difference in Yosemite. While the position is remote, regular site visits will be required to support projects and programs, providing you with hands-on experience in the field.
Job Responsibility:
Support data collection and monitoring efforts, including utility consumption, through ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, EnergyCAP, and similar monitoring systems
Partner with the energy manager and data management team to help identify energy conservation measures and opportunities
Support the design, installation, and overall project management of electrical and water submeters across the YH properties in the park
Drive conservation practices through education initiatives targeted at both YH staff and guests
Collaborate with the energy manager to support a variety of energy efficiency projects, including infrastructure and mechanical equipment improvements
Gain experience in project management, vendor management, and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Contribute to the BAS control logic design and Sequence of Operations
Support green energy projects, including decarbonization and electrification
Requirements:
Candidates actively pursuing a master’s degree in any field of study
A major in mechanical, electrical, or environmental engineering is preferred
Candidates willing to work flexible hours, which may include nights, weekends or holidays
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
