Job Description:

The Environmental Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, corporate environmental standards, ISO 14001, ISO 46001 and sustainability commitments. The role covers environmental reporting, waste, water, energy, emissions management, permits, and continuous improvement initiatives across Yerevan plant.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable Armenian environmental legislation, permits, ISO 14001 and ISO 46001, corporate standards (CCH, KORE)
  • Manage environmental procedures, instructions, and documentation in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 46001, as well as country environmental legislation requirements
  • Interact with regulatory authorities and auditors during external environmental audits of the site
  • Calculate and report monthly Environmental KBIs related to water, energy consumption, waste management and carbon emission agenda
  • Prepare annual environmental state reports
  • Support Environmental Business Plan (BP) development
  • Obtain and maintain environmental permits and licenses
  • Manage waste-related contracts, monitor hazardous waste generation norms and installation limits
  • Manage water consumption and wastewater discharge activities in accordance with Armenian legislation requirements, ISO and corporate standards
  • Coordinate energy-saving initiatives and support energy loss audits
  • Monitor and report energy efficiency improvements
  • Conduct environmental inductions for newcomers, contractors, and visitors and annual environmental training for employees

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Environmental Science, Engineering, Ecology, or a related field
  • Experience in environmental management within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, waste, water, emissions, and energy management
  • Experience with environmental state reporting, ISO audits
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external authorities
