Requirements

Applications are sought from Environmental Solicitors with a minimum of 4 Years PQE
Proven experience advising on contentious and/or non-contentious environmental matters
Experience handling regulatory investigations
Strong knowledge of environmental regimes including waste, contaminated land, nuisance, environmental permitting, producer responsibility, waste and chemicals regulation
A commercial and pragmatic approach with strong communication skills
Confident and personable, with the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams

Job Responsibility

You will be responsible for advising on the environmental and sustainability aspects of national and international transactions, including those involving real estate, corporate, finance, restructuring, infrastructure and projects
The role will also involve assisting with environmental investigations and prosecutions, providing stand-alone commercial environmental advice, and representing clients across a range of regulatory matters
You will advise on contentious and non-contentious environmental matters
Handle environmental regulatory investigations and enforcement issues
Provide strategic advice on environmental compliance, risk and enforcement
Contribute to business development initiatives and the continued growth of the environmental practice
