Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking an Environmental Services Training Manager-3rd shift to join their team at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Environmental Services Training Manager-3rd shift is responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure all health and safety standards are met. The EVS Training Manager-3rd shift is responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Leads the operations of facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate overnight environmental services staff
Ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed according to department standards and schedules
Conduct routine inspections of patient areas, public spaces, offices, and restrooms to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
Monitor and maintain proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies
Ensure training supports compliance, operational efficiency, and talent development
Create annual training plans, calendars
Must be willing to work varies shifts
Recruit, train, and supervise trainers or learning specialists
Set performance goals and conduct evaluations for training staff
Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities
Manage vendor relationships and external training providers
Lead, train, and mentor EVS technicians during overnight operations
Assign daily tasks and adjust staffing as needed to meet operational demands
Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and corrective action when necessary
Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained during overnight hours
Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols, including proper cleaning and disinfection procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission, and facility safety standards
Monitor proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste and regulated medical waste
Ensure UV light disinfection occurs nightly along with terminal cleaning in the operating rooms across the facility
Ensure terminal cleaning conducted nightly in the Sterile Processing Department
Perform quality assurance inspections throughout the facility, nightly
Address deficiencies in cleaning standards and ensure prompt corrective action
Maintain documentation related to inspections, incident reports, and operational logs
Serve as the primary EVS point of contact during overnight hours
Coordinate with nursing staff, facilities, and security regarding overnight service needs
Respond to emergency cleaning situations such as spills, contamination events, or urgent sanitation needs
Monitor inventory levels of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and supplies
Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals according to safety standards
Report equipment maintenance or repair needs
Requirements:
Requires at least 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services
Requires at least 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
Requires a Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
