Keep patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting
Use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize facility
Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects
Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies
Deliver clean linens
Complete as assigned, daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and other common areas
Adhere to all organization safety, risk management and infection control guidelines and standards while promoting a culture of safety
Actively participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, including but not limited to initiatives to improve patient experience and cleanliness metrics
Remove waste and transport to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste stream handling
Follow all infection prevention practices, including but not limited to: proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE)
