Environmental Services Technician I

• CLEAN: assigned areas on the campus(Patient/Non-patient
• Offices
• Elevators
• Grounds/Parking garage/Lobbies/Conference rooms) following the standards of the location
• FLOORS: Sweeping, mopping, waxing vinyl tile floors
• vacuuming and shampooing carpets
• scrubbing grouts following the established policies and procedures
• DOCUMENTATION/COMMUNICATION: Support all required documentation of the department
• Keep up to date on department updates
• EQUIPMENT: Report concerns related to equipment, furniture, and work areas throughout the hospital
• SUPPLIES/STORAGE: Monitor your supplies- use chemicals appropriately
• Assist in the storage of all supplies in our department
• LINEN: collect soiled linen following infection prevention procedures
• wash and dry linen in our laundry per our dept. policy
• deliver cleaned laundry to the designated areas
• INFECTION PREVENTION: observes and follows all infection policies
• cleans and sanitizes after blood and body fluids spills as needed
• DEPARTMENT SUPPORT: Flexible in assignments from working a variety of areas completing tasks related to floor care to cleaning to linen processing
• Flexible in shift, as needed

• Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare institution, school, or hospitality environment preferred
• Experience with any equipment used to clean from floor equipment to sweepers to commercial washers/dryers
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
• Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
• Knowledge Of Basic Evs Equipment

Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare institution, school, or hospitality environment preferred
