Job Responsibility:
Completes assigned duties, tasks, and routine daily cleaning assignments within time requirements
Communicates problems and unresolved issues to Lead or Supervisor and maintains required documentation
Interacts with patients, visitors, staff, and leaders with respectful and effective communication
Complies with Infection Prevention Policies, including hand hygiene and use of protective equipment
Handles, labels, and disposes of chemicals properly according to instructions and policies
Manages soiled and clean linen according to standard work
Prioritizes duties and responds to changing demands
Operates cleaning and UV disinfection equipment safely
Maintains effective interpersonal relationships
Attends staff training and meetings to stay updated on policies
Assists leadership in meeting organizational standards for safety and compliance
Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum one year experience in industrial janitorial industry preferred
Experience with healthcare environment cleaning procedures and janitorial equipment use preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and colleagues
Capable of following complex task-based instructions
Ability to learn and retain training on disaster and emergency responses
Commitment to value-based behavioral principles including caring, communication, collaboration, and competence
Nice to have:
Experience in healthcare cleaning procedures and equipment use desired
Knowledge of disaster response procedures is a plus
Demonstrates value-based behaviors including caring, communication, collaboration, and competence
