Job Description

For the JRC, the European Union Joint Research Centre in Ispra, a new open position is available. What we are looking for is an environmental scientist with experience in forestry and/or wildfires and/or environmental sciences. The main goal of the activity will be the production of pan-European fuel maps and fuel structure layers starting from very high-resolution tree cover and tree height layers, high-resolution biomass layers, Copernicus high-resolution landcover layers, FireRes and FirEURisk fuel maps. The activities will be conducted fully off-site, with an expected deadline three months from the contract’s signature date.
