The Environmental Regulatory Advisor is the single point of contact for all environmental and regulatory matters and is responsible for the coordination and oversight of environmental and regulatory programs, including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning aspects.
Job Responsibility:
Lead ESHIA and EMP development with consultants and project team
Implement Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Management Plans
Support SHE Manager on E&R activities and planning
Secure and track project permits and approvals
Integrate ESH standards into project design and execution
Guide EPC contractors on E&R plan development and compliance
Review and monitor E&R performance and EMP implementation
Conduct site inspections and report compliance issues
Prepare internal and external E&R reports
Coordinate training, technical experts, and stakeholder communication
Coordinating EMP implementation
Providing assistance regarding EMP implementation
Conducting routine inspections/assessments
Investigate, record, and report identified E&R compliance initiatives and non-compliance situations regarding environmental matters
Ensure the proper and timely completion and submission of EMP implementation/monitoring/reporting forms and documents regarding environmental matters
University degree in Natural or Environmental Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Social Sciences (e.g., anthropology, sociology), Engineering or some other technical field related to E&R management regarding environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health matters
Experience regarding the environmental and/or socioeconomic and/or health field(s) preferably related to a construction or extractive industry project
Knowledge of external project financing desirable
