Job Description:

To manage the area of responsibility for environmental protection (waste management, grease separators, AFM, RetuRo SGR, environmental permits, water analysis) in order to optimize costs in all restaurants in RO/BG. To align the Environmental Protection processes with RO/BG legal requirements and AmRest internal regulations. To provide support to Facility & Constructions department in obtaining Operating Licence for new openings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conclusion of waste collection, waste disposal, recycling, and cleaning of grease separators contracts to ensure business continuity for all open restaurants
  • Oversight of compliance with environmental protection law for all locations
  • Implementation of processes for waste management and disposal in all brands
  • Conduction of audits regarding the rules for Environmental Protection in all restaurants
  • Cooperation with local architects and authorities to prepare and update the plans to be aligned with the requests of local authorities in the field of Environmental Protection and for new openings
  • Support for restaurants in terms of grease separators and waste management
  • Cooperation with the Operational teams and participation in regional meetings
  • Coordination of external suppliers to prepare training materials of Environmental Protection and Waste Management to inform restaurant managers about the necessary processes
  • Cooperation with Facility Manager to implement special projects with impact in the field of Environmental Protection for both new openings and existing locations
  • Implementation of processes for Environmental Protection and management of chemicals in the region
  • Processing and archiving OPS feedback questionnaires for the Facility Department
  • Management and cooperation with external services in the area of Environmental Protection and waste management
  • Preparation of the necessary documents for Environmental Protection in the event of controls by the authorities
  • Providing water/waste water analysis for the entire restaurant portfolio
  • Providing fast, efficient, and high-quality support in the areas of Environmental Protection and waste management for all brand
  • Warehouse inventory management
  • Preparing reports for the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM)
  • Ensuring the functionality of the Deposit Return System (DRS)
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental permits and maintaining their validity through annual endorsements or revisions
  • Monthly reporting of data for the development of AmRest Group’s sustainability report
  • Verifying the accuracy and up-to-date status of waste management records
  • Supervising ongoing environmental projects within AmRest

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Health, Safety and Environment faculty would be considered a plus)
  • 2 years of experience on a similar role

Audits district program activities for compliance with pretreatment program requirements under the city's EPA/IDEQ permit.
