Environmental, Health, & Safety Manager

• Develop, implement, and oversee EH&S strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA)
• Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on EH&S matters and provide guidance on regulatory changes and industry best practices
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EH&S standards
• Lead workplace safety initiatives, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident prevention programs
• Develop and deliver safety training programs tailored to various employee groups
• Ensure consistent enforcement of safety protocols and foster a safety-first culture across the organization
• Oversee compliance with environmental permits and regulations related to air quality, waste management, and water usage
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to minimize environmental impact and improve sustainability practices
• Identify opportunities to reduce the environmental footprint of manufacturing operations through energy efficiency, waste reduction, and other sustainability initiatives
• Prepare and submit accurate regulatory reports and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Manage incident reporting processes and ensure timely communication with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies
• Develop and oversee emergency response and preparedness plans
• Identify opportunities for improving EH&S processes and programs
• Drive continuous improvement in EH&S programs by analyzing performance metrics and benchmarking against industry standards
• Lead cross-functional teams to identify and implement innovative EH&S solutions
• Promote employee engagement and participation in EH&S initiatives
• Supervise and mentor EH&S staff, ensuring professional growth and alignment with organizational objectives
• Serve as the primary point of contact for EH&S-related matters within the facility
• Collaborate with department heads and other stakeholders to integrate EH&S priorities into operational plans

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment, including management-level responsibilities
• Extensive knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Experience in risk management and mitigation
• Demonstrated success in leading EH&S programs and driving cultural change
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to use and interpret safety laws, rules, and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft office Suite
• Must have a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record, in order to operate company vehicles
• Required to be on-call to handle after-hour facility issues

Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent are strongly preferred
