Job Description:

Aquent is on the search for a skilled Health and Safety Coordinator to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and manage a variety of day-to-day office and safety-related tasks. An excellent Health and Safety Coordinator is, above all, an organized and competent professional with phenomenal communication skills. You will be comfortable dealing with people and able to carry out safety and administrative duties with accuracy and speed. The goal is to ensure that workplace operations are safe, efficient, and add maximum value to the organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety plans in accordance with OSHA regulations and best practices
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules, specifically as they apply to retail and office environments
  • Investigate incidents and develop corrective action plans
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and records
  • Provide safety training and education for employees, subcontractors, and visitors
  • Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in Quality and EHS
  • Empower employees to identify and implement improvements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee safety, with a focus on retail environments
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Reliable with patience and professionalism
