In this role, you’ll support the development and execution of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives across our facilities. You’ll gain hands-on experience conducting safety inspections, supporting risk assessments, contributing to compliance efforts, and helping to implement safety programs that protect our people and our workplace. This is an exciting opportunity for students in Safety Management, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related fields to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world, innovation-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in developing and implementing safety programs, policies, and procedures
Participate in workplace inspections and safety audits
Support the planning and delivery of safety training sessions
Conduct research on industry best practices and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
Assist in incident investigations and near-miss reporting
Collaborate across departments to build a proactive safety culture
Participate in safety meetings
Provide administrative and operational support to the EHS team
Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program, or have graduated within the past year
Must be able to work a full-time, 40-hour-per-week schedule with 5 days per week onsite in Needham, MA
Passionate about building safe, healthy, and compliant work environments
Strong understanding of core EHS principles and familiarity with safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiar with risk assessment methodologies
Curious and quick to learn about industrial processes and workplace safety protocols
Nice to have:
Bonus if you’ve worked with data visualization tools
Experience with safety-focused coursework, labs, or previous internships is a plus
