Brookline DPW seeks an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Officer to lead the development, implementation, and management of environmental, health, and safety programs across all DPW divisions. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong culture of safety for employees, contractors, and the community. The Officer will coordinate safety training, educational initiatives, and outreach efforts to support safe work practices and organizational accountability. Key responsibilities include managing the Safety Council, conducting accident reviews and follow-up evaluations, overseeing hazardous materials storage and documentation, and preparing required regulatory reports and annual submissions. The position also plays a central role in developing policies, procedures, and best management practices to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health and safety, industrial hygiene, physical sciences, or a related field
five years’ experience administering EHS or industrial hygiene programs
