Job Description

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Co-Op, you will support critical safety, environmental, and compliance initiatives across our operations. In this role, you will partner with site leadership to help drive a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement in workplace health and environmental performance. This Co-op will play a key role in promoting a safe and sustainable work environment while gaining hands-on experience in real-world manufacturing operations. This role offers exposure to safety programs, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement practices that impact employee well-being and operational excellence.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing or supporting project activities such as reviewing and reformatting plant-wide Lockout Tagout procedures
  • Collecting and analyzing data to assist with monthly safety reporting
  • Participating in Kaizen events and Daily Management meetings
  • Assisting with updating training materials
  • Develop visual job aids and process documentation
  • Auditing and tracking success of safety initiatives
  • Supporting safety activities such as root cause analysis, audits, documentation, and corrective action
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, human resources, production, operations, and logistics
  • Assisting in workplace organization and ergonomic improvements
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or a related field
  • minimum 3.0 GPA
