Job Responsibility:
Inspect and verify food businesses, respond to complaints, and champion food safety and compliance through education and enforcement
Manage alcohol licensing processes, monitor premises, and support local policies that protect the community
Engage with residents, businesses, and stakeholders, providing guidance, resolving issues, and building strong professional relationships
Uphold health and safety standards and continuously develop expertise in regulatory compliance, legislation, and community engagement
Requirements:
Hold a recognised Environmental Health Officer qualification (or equivalent knowledge)
Bring substantial experience in environmental health and alcohol licensing compliance
Make confident, informed decisions and apply legislation with care
Communicate clearly, persuasively, and professionally
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Thrive in a collaborative, proactive team environment
Take initiative and ownership of your work
Strong administrative and reporting skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
