Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced environmental practitioner to join our Environmental Assessment and Management (EAM) team. The EAM team specialises in environmental impact assessment (EIA), environmental approvals, environmental compliance and all aspects of environmental management, including conservation.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and contribute to projects related to environmental assessments, environmental approvals and biodiversity protection and enhancement, via the preparation of relevant documentation and stakeholder consultation
  • Assist clients to meet environmental compliance requirements including preparing and implementing environmental management plans and monitoring programs
  • Contribute to managing and coordinating projects
  • Aid in maintaining and strengthening client relationships
  • Collaborate with technical specialists in our Biological team to provide a holistic approach to environmental assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree (minimum) in environmental science, natural resource management or equivalent
  • demonstrated familiarity with relevant Commonwealth and State legislation and its application
  • 3+ years’ experience in environmental impact assessment and management
  • experience in contributing to EIA, environmental approvals and environmental compliance
  • proven experience in managing client relationships
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • a proactive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional results in a team-focused environment
  • must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent work visa
