The Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing environmental programs throughout the Division that are compatible with Veolia and regulatory requirements that allow Veolia management to monitor, verify, and strengthen compliance with regulations. Under limited direction, plans, organizes, coordinates and implements the environmental compliance programs for the NJ Division; takes action to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and requirements, advises managers on practices to eliminate environmental hazards, investigates chemical spill/release incidents and prepares necessary reports to ensure proper reporting measures are met to all internal departments, as well as external regulatory agencies. Interface with corporate EHS team to implement corporate initiatives at the local level.
Job Responsibility:

Serving as Divisional contact for Regulated Segment Environmental Compliance Assurance Program (ECAP)
Oversight, operational support and coordination of all Environmental programs
Conducting investigations and developing/implementing remedial programs
Providing technical and professional support for compliance
Maintaining knowledge of federal and state EH&S regulations
Communicating with environmental regulators
Investigating and resolving compliance problems
Reviewing impact of proposed Environmental regulations
Developing and implementing programs to increase onsite project awareness
Auditing and evaluating current policies
Coordinating company response and solutions
Negotiating remediation solutions
Assisting with preparation of training materials
Reviewing and determining applicability of environmental regulations
Overseeing implementation and use of compliance tools
Maintaining On-site Compliance Documents
Maintaining ISO program documentation
Designing and maintaining NJ Division Emergency Response Plans
Overseeing administration of hazardous materials and waste management program
Overseeing timely preparation and dissemination of required reports
