Job Description:

Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry. The successful candidate will work closely with facility staff to document data, identify applicable environmental programs and gather relevant permits for various facilities. This role involves conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and creating comprehensive facility profiles based on the information collected. The intern will gain valuable experience in environmental regulations, permit management, and data organization while developing strong communication and analytical skills. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in environmental science, engineering, or related fields who are eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with facility staff to identify applicable data & environmental programs for each site
  • Gather and organize data, facility permits and related documentation
  • Conduct research on environmental regulations and compliance requirements relevant to assigned facilities
  • Create comprehensive facility profiles using the collected information and data
  • Analyze and summarize environmental compliance data for reporting purposes
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of environmental permits and programs
  • Support the environmental compliance team in various administrative tasks and projects as needed
  • Participate in meetings and discussions related to environmental compliance and facility management
  • Prepare clear and concise reports on findings and recommendations for improving environmental compliance processes
  • Comply with all Veolia Company and HSE procedures and policies

Requirements:

  • Working towards a four-year degree and you have Senior status in a related science or engineering major
  • 3.2 Cumulative G.P.A required
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships
