Are you ready for a new challenge within Construction Logistics? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Environmental and Sustainability Manager at our HPC site. As an Environmental and Sustainability Manager, you will be dedicated to supporting our Logistics Team and HSE department.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and monitor employees' and contractors' working practices related to sustainability and environmental culture
Support the development of strategies and systems
Provide advice and support to ensure Wilson James Logistics teams are working in line with the Site Construction Phase Plans, processes and procedures, including current legislation and industry best practice
Guide and assist logistics teams in their working practices to meet ISO 14001:2015 requirements
Drive the environmental agenda for all colleagues
Be fully integrated with Wilson James' Sustainability leadership team, working collaboratively with senior leadership
Requirements:
Degree in Environmental or related discipline
Strong working knowledge of Environmental regulations, specific to the construction industry logistics activities
Good understanding of UK legislation and practical control of water pollution, waste management, ecology, soils and air quality
IEMA or similar membership
CITB H&S test pass certificate for Managers & Professionals
Experience in compiling and reviewing RAMS specific to task
Strong construction or engineering background
Experience working in a multi-disciplined safety critical environment
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
IT literate – Strong electronic communication, spreadsheet, and presentation skills
An understanding of the principles of equality and diversity in relation to visitors' and employee's
You must be able to obtain the HPC pass
