Job Responsibility

Keep patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting
Use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize the facility
Learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects
Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies
Deliver clean linens
Clean all nurses units, patients' rooms and all other designated facility areas
Clean walls, beds, commodes, mirrors, showers, fixtures, doors, closets, drawers, phones, inside windows, water fountains
Follow the department's policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization
Clean up major spills when necessary, responding to pages in a timely manner
