Job Description:

We are seeking a global leader of environmental sustainability, compliance, remediation, and due diligence to minimize risk and liability to Gates globally.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide extensive environmental regulatory, permitting, technical guidance, and support
  • Assess, inform and collaborate with internal stakeholders to minimize impact of environmental regulations
  • Guide responses for environmental complaints, litigations, and claims
  • Conduct environmental due diligence for acquisitions, divestitures and real estate transactions
  • Advise on environmental clauses in agreements or conditions for business and property transactions
  • Support communications and negotiations with federal, state, and local environmental agencies
  • Facilitate audit program to achieve compliance and reasonable assurance
  • Lead site investigations, remediation strategies, and cost control for remediation portfolio
  • Provide technical support and data for environmental reserves and reporting
  • Manage environmental department invoice processing & accruals
  • Provides technical leadership and consultation to management and peers

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of applicable experience required
  • 5+ years in a leadership role with a global manufacturing company is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required
  • 25-30% travel allotment, both domestic and international
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
