The role, Environment and Social Governance Data Analyst, involves responsibilities such as data ingestion, quality checks, complex analysis, and developing ESG scoring frameworks. Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the correct implementation of data ingestion and onboarding in relevant Front Office systems, such as Refinitiv, Bloomberg, and Analytics
  • Verify and maintain data quality through systematic checks, ensuring oversight of the data's location, aggregation, and availability
  • Conduct complex data analysis, explore methods to enhance data quality, and prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling
  • Establish a centralized global data repository and disseminate Environment and Social Governance-related models through appropriate systems
  • Use both structured and unstructured existing data to develop a proprietary Environment and Social Governance scoring framework, carry out research, generate governance signals, and create visual representations of these scores
  • Assist with the execution and development of the in-house Voyager tool, including data normalization
  • Collaborate with Environment and Social Governance vendors on mapping rules, data quantity and quality, all in relation to data oversight

Requirements:

  • A strong academic background with interest in financial markets and Environment and Social Governance
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and robust problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with confidence in engaging with stakeholders
  • A positive and proactive attitude, combined with the ability to multitask and deliver under pressure
  • Proficiency in using analytical toolsets and interpreting data
  • Practical experience with SQL databases and cloud warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, or others
  • Proficiency in programming languages, especially Python and PySpark
  • Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) systems, particularly in data transformation
  • Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
