Job Description

Are you the person who brings order to chaos? We’re looking for an uber-organised Environment & Release Specialist to create, own and maintain the environment and release calendars across our applications, spanning both BAU Operations and project Delivery. You’ll build the single source of truth for what is happening, where, and when. You’ll chase down information from projects, BAU and vendors, make sense of it in Excel, and tell the story so clashes are spotted early and nothing gets missed. You’ll sit across CAB to stay ahead of every change, and work shoulder to shoulder with both BAU and project teams. This is an ideal opportunity for an up-and-coming IT professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and working across multiple teams to drive outcomes. This is a permanent, full-time role-based at our Melbourne HQ with genuine hybrid flexibility for the right person. Australian Citizens only. If you’re ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Create, own and maintain one consolidated environment and release calendar across all applications, BAU and Delivery
  • Overlay projects, releases, patching and changes so conflicts surface early
  • Visualise schedules and data clearly in Excel for any audience
  • Attend CAB, coordinate freezes, refreshes and release windows
  • Be the go-to point for environment and release conflicts, and escalate risks early
  • Prepare environments for SIT, UAT, regression testing, and go-live
  • Coordinate releases and ensure readiness for each testing cycle
  • Quickly resolve environment-related blockers
  • Coordinate environment refreshes/copies
  • Act as the first point of contact for environment issues and conflicts
  • Communicate schedules, constraints, and impacts proactively
  • Escalate risks and resolve conflicts efficiently

Requirements

  • Uber-organised, with exceptional attention to detail, nothing slips
  • Genuinely strong at visualising data in Excel (calendars, dashboards, pivots)
  • Collaborative and proactive, you find the information, collate it, and tell the story
  • 2+ years in environment coordination, release or delivery support, comfortable across BAU and projects
  • Exposure to JIRA, ServiceNow or Confluence, and ITIL or change processes (advantageous)
  • Tertiary IT or business qualification, and Australian Citizenship
  • Must be an Australian Citizen

Nice to have

  • Exposure to JIRA, ServiceNow or Confluence, and ITIL or change processes
  • ITIL or exposure to service management frameworks
  • Agile, DevOps, or delivery methodology training
  • Vendor/platform certifications

What we offer

  • Flexible working: genuine flexibility options available
  • Growth: national career pathways across multiple business units
  • Discounts: retail partners including Woolworths, Airbnb, JB Hi-Fi, Bupa and more
  • Paid leave: parental, cultural, community service, study, volunteering and purchased leave
  • Inclusive culture: we value diversity, inclusion and celebrate excellence
