We’re seeking an experienced Manager, Environment, Health & Safety to play a pivotal role at our Toongabbie Manufacturing Operations Facility. In this influential position, you’ll partner closely with the Manufacturing Senior Leadership team to lead the implementation and coordination of both local and corporate EHS programs, policies, and procedures. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping how safety, health, and environmental excellence are embedded into everyday operations. Your mission will be to champion compliance while inspiring a culture of continuous improvement. By benchmarking performance against industry best practices, you’ll identify opportunities to enhance our EHS systems and translate insights into practical, impactful actions. As a trusted advisor to leaders and key stakeholders, you’ll help drive meaningful change that protects our people, our operations, and our future.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with Senior Manufacturing Management to develop and implement EHS&S initiatives and protocols to adhere to local regulations and global standards and ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Provide reports and updates to Operational Leader Team about company EHS risks, opportunities, and developments and trends
  • Lead and work with the EHS team in ANZ to plan, implement, and lead EHS&S projects and programs for company goals
  • Lead the facility audit programs, including routine facility internal self-assessments, company audits including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and regulatory compliance audits. Identify root causes, crafting corrective action plans
  • Establish systems to maintain regulatory compliance for Toongabbie manufacturing, including routine audit programs, data tracking systems, and communication programs
  • Support and promote the Health Centre function and associated Health program responsibilities
  • Develop training programs based on EHS Training Matrix to help team members meet EHS responsibilities and reduce EHS&S impacts

Requirements

  • Tertiary degree in Health Science, EHS, Engineering or related fields, with equivalent experience also considered
  • Valued expertise in EHS management within the manufacturing sector or a similar field
  • Skilled in handling ISO 14001, 45001, and AS 4801 systems
  • Knowledge of Australian EHS laws/regulations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to focus management, collaborators, and individuals on EHS objectives and work towards a common goal
